Project Pan / Pan That Palette Challenge 2015

Lately, i went through all my makeup collection and found some makeup items i been having for years that i need to used up! Im inspired by a lot of women from beauty community on Instagram to do this.  Here are makeup items i decided to use as much as i can in 2015 till they completely finish.

Here's where i am starting at :

Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette
Physician Formula Nude Wear Blush in Natural
MAC Hey Sailor Collection Pro Longwear Bronzing Powder in Sun Dipped
NYC Bronzer in Sunny
Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder in Sandstorm

*finger crossed* for eyeshadow palette that seriously taking forever to just hit pan. Especially the naked 2 palette, i don't need to dig in my brush that hard cause light touch gives a lot of color to my eyelid already!

Do you do some project pan on makeup this year? If so, let me know what are they in the comments below!

Urban Decay Vice 3 Palette (Limited Edition) was originally cost $60 which is a lot of money for an eyeshadow palette in my opinion. But as always, classy and cute packaging attracted me that i can't resist to not buying it. This palette contains 20 eyeshadows, has great mixture of mattes, satins, metallic and shimmers. Quite few amount of neutral browns that comes handy for blending out some shades and for transition colors on the crease.  You can create so many different looks from this palette! Majority of the shades are highly pigmented, they are so buttery to its touch. Packaging is looking stunning, very sturdy and magnetic closure. It comes with big size of mirror that is very convenient when i go traveling. And i love it comes with pouch that would protect the palette itself from getting dirty.

There are few things that bothered me with the palette. The eyeshadows very very powdery, it gets messy and fall outs all over my face during application. So i always do my eye makeup first before everything else. Also even though the packaging is so stunning, it's easy to get dirty with the fingers prints cause its made sort of glass material.

The makeup look from this palette will coming soon! :)

Do you have the Vice 3 Palette? If yes, how do you like this palette?

Thanks for checking out this post.

Tarte Sweet Dreams Bon Voyage ( Limited Edition for Sephora )

Hello lovelies. Happy New Year 2015 for all of us!

I got this makeup set from hubby for Christmas. By the time i got this, this doesn't longer available in Sephora website. Im sorry that you guys can't order this online but maybe some Sephora stores would still have this makeup set.

I want to swatching and give my overall thoughts of this makeup set cause some items actually are available to purchase individually in case you interested to get it.

20 Full Size, French Inspired Amazonian Clay Eyeshadows

First Row
From Left to Right : Palace of Versaille - Moulin Rouge - I think I cannes - My own cotes du rhone - Boudoir noir

Second Row
From Left to Right : Fall in Louvre - Provence upon a time - Eiffel for you - Too haute to handle - Bastille in the night

Third Row
Chantilly Lace - Merci you later - No champagne, no gain - Take on bordeaux - French Riviera

Fourth Row (last row)
C'est la vie - Marseille the word - Play nice - On a good Notre Dame - Le Cordon Bleu

The eyeshadow palettes consists of 20 shades of color that have good amount of mattes, some shimmers and satins.  The shades are neutrals, warm tones and some cool tones on the bottom part.  The name of each shades are interesting.

Pros :
- Silky to the touch
- Good mixtures of mattes, satins and shimmers
- Good pigmentation ( not the best in my taste compared to Urban Decay or Too Faced shadows )
- Pretty packaging that matching so well with the makeup bag
- Wearable for daily basis
- All eyeshadows are in full sized!

Cons :
- It doesn't have mirror
- The texture is abit powdery
- I wish it would come with black shade, that would be perfect!

Fallin Louvre : transition color, all over the crease
Merci you later : crease
I think I cannes : define the crease
French Riviera : eyelid , lower lash line
Chantilly Lace : inner corner, under the brow

Left : Lip Surgence Lip Gloss in Visionary (Apricot ) ; Right : Lip Surgence Lip Tint in Romantic (peachy nude)
The lip gloss is smelling so good and feels nice on the lips. The lip tint is very wearable for daily use because the color is looking very natural when applied on the lips. I am not sure if both of items are limited edition or discontinued because i can't find the specific shades for both on any website.

Deluxe lights, camera, lashes 4 in 1 Mascara
The mascara works great, it doesn't clumpy, gives natural voluminous looking lashes, seperates lashes pretty well, doesn't give spidery looking, and easy to use.

Limited Edition deluxe cheek stain in Muse (peachy nude)
I was skeptical at first by knowing this is cream form of blush because as you know i have oily skin. But when i apply it and buff it out with my blush brush, i fell in love right away how it look on me. It's so beautiful and very easy to blend. And I'm surprised my cheeks don't turn be like grease ball after few hours later. I wish they would make the shade permanent on the market. Cause i LOVE this.

Deluxe Maracuja Oil
This oil might slightly smell blah but it works great on my skin. I put this religiously every night before bedtime after wash my face, about 3-4 drops i rub them onto my face and my skin feels moisturized just about right. It doesn't make my skin greasy at all. I wake up in the morning feeling my skin is so smooth and look brighter! I will repurchase this in the full size.

Deluxe Smooth Operator Amazonian Clay Finishing Powder
The texture reminds me of any kind of baby powder. I use it to set my liquid makeup and parts when i get oily.  I love this because it's white that i find it doesn't change the color of my foundation.

Overall, i thought this makeup set is such a great value to purchase! The packaging they made for each items are so matching well with the makeup bag! As how the packaging made, this makeup set is so travel friendly. Even though this makeup set is limited edition, you still can purchase some items individually like mascara , maracuja oil, smooth operator face powder, lip surgence lip tint (in other shades) and lip surgence lipgloss (in other shades as well).

Who else got Tarte Sweet Dreams Bon Voyage for Christmas?

Swatches & Quick Review : Too Faced Bonjour Soleil Limited Edition Summer Bronzing Wardrobe

This is my weakness that i can't resist to anything super cute packaging! First time i saw it on sephora website, i told myself i dont need this and constantly for few 4 nights i keep thinking about this palette. So yes a little damage happened.... Anyway i got it during Sephora Beauty Insider Sale 15%off.

Anyway, packaging is obviously darn cute and magnetic closure and snap close very easy. It has good size of mirror that would cooperate in your makeup routine very well.  It consists of one matte bronzer , one shimmer bronzer and one luminous bronzer as highlight.

The texture/formula feels so smooth, buttery, medium to least powdery/chalky. When applied on the face, it's just stunning!

Into the each shade :

  • Chocolate Soleil : a very nice settle matte bronzer that works great for daily basis when you dont need to look sparkle at work or school! It blends so easy and looking very natural on the skin. And this smells like chocolate too!
  • Sun Bunny : for beach days or any days when you want to look glowy and tan with a hint of gorgeous sparkle on your face! Omg im obssessed witth this one!!
  • Snow bunny : consist of few different shades that you can use the champagne/white or any of them as eyeshadow and if you blend them all together, it going to give you very pretty highlight on the face!
The brush applicator look cute as well and it's so soft to use on the skin.

On the picture above, i used Chocolate Soleil as my bronzer on the hollow of my cheeks and sides of the nose. And Snow Bunny as highlighter on the highest point of my cheeks.

And on picture above, i used "Sun Bunny" as my bronzer.

This palette retails for $44 on Sephora, Ulta, Too Faced Website. I paid for $37 during Sephora Beauty Insider Sale 15%off.

Pros :
  • Goes smoothly
  • Gives natural bronze/glow
  • Blends really well
  • The palette is versatile where i find can be multitasker use as eyeshadow, bronzer, highlight in one palette
  • Cute packaging
  • Chocolate Soleil smells like chocolate
  • Long lasting
  • Variety of bronzers : matte, sheen/shimmers
  • Buildable
  • Good pigmentation ( not pigmentation you would be expecting for eyeshadow types, but they are pigmented enough to give your face sunkissed glow look )
Cons :
  • I feel packaging is too bit large for what its offered, do you feel same way?
  • I wish packaging could be more slim? But that really don't huge matter!
