Hi girls.

Happy Chinese New Year to you all who celebrate this special moment of the year! Speaking of CNY, as far as im being here far away from home, it does hit me little bit this year, of course i miss gathering with my family, not mention i used to get so excited to get the red envelope when i was still single but now that im married , that stuff is over for me, so i guess being far from home does have a pros haha.

Well this year as usual like previous years, i love to wear red outfit with a very simple natural makeup.

Products used :
Face :
1. Garnier BB Cream (for combination to oily skin) in "Medium/Deep" - as base of my makeup, first time apply on ur face.
2. Revlon Colorstay Aqua Loose Powder in Translucent Medium - this is to set your makeup.
3. Tarte Amazonian Clay Bronzer - contour the perimeter of your face, the hollow of your cheeks. blended well done to the jawline.
4. Milani Baked Blush in Dolce Pink - love love this blush from Milani, i used it on apple of my cheeks :)

5. Wet n Wild Eyeshadow Palette in Vanity - i only used the two shadows on top, the white matte one for highlight the bridge of my nose and the shimmer one to highlight my inner corner of the eyes and the brow bone.
6. Urban Decay 24/7 Glide On Eyeshadow stick in Rehab - all over the lid.
7. Urban Decay 24/7 Glide on Eyeshadow stick in Sin - inner corner also :)
8. L'Oreal Voluminous False Lashes Mascara (gold packaging) - this mascara is really old one because i love brushing old mascara to my brow to make look naturally brow and shaped.

DIY : Custom Drawers Divider (Makeup Storage)

Hello guys.

Im coming tonight to share one of my diys that i just recently made. One of my fellow Indonesian Beauty Blogger, Rosdiana suggested me to make a blogpost about this diy! Thanks for the idea ;) . Anyway, It's the custom drawers divider for makeup storage (at least to me), but you absolutely can use it for other things.

And of course i wanna mention this diy absolutely wasnt invented by me but this inspired by a diy/beauty/travel youtuber called "pinksofoxy". Her name is Christine and i absolutely love her videos. You definitely should check her out if you're a youtube lover like i am.

For this diy project you are gonna need :
i forgot to take picture before i started, so thats why the fabric is very small because it's leftover piece after the project made.

1. Fabric (im using black, you can use whatever color you desire)
2. Glue gun and the glue stick
3. Random boxes that you dont use it anymore
4. Fabric glue (optional)
5. Utility knife

So first you want to measure the size of your drawer. You gonna find out how wide and how length it is. The measurements of the picture is what my drawer needs.

After you find out, lay flat your box , draw many rectangle pieces. Like the illustration picture above, i drew 12 rectangle pieces vary in sizes. All the measurements in the picture is what my drawers size. Of course your drawer size might be different with mine so go ahead use the right measurement for your own drawer :)

After draw all the pieces, cut them out. I used utility knife , i find its the best tool to handle the hard tough boxes. Then place your fabric over the each pieces, glued them on with fabric glue. I personally used glue gun because thats all i have. If you are using glue gun, be careful girls it's stinking hot, i hurt my skin many timeees!

After all box pieces covered up with fabric, then you start making the tray with 4 sides (front, behind, left, and right) and then the remaining pieces that will be placed as the divider. Again, im using the hot glue gun to connect every pieces. Let them dry for 30 minutes then place it right away in your drawer. It's time to put all the makeup stuff in. This is the most fun part amongst all.

Tadaaa!!

there is no way i could rotate the picture. I did rotate it before i upload but the blogger keep the actual picture :/

I fell in love the way it look in my drawer. No more makeup items laying around randomly anymore on my dressing table. I hope my explanations and illustration pictures is clear enough to understand by you all. Well let me know what you guys think about this diy, and if you recreate this, please let me know the link of your pictures because i'd love to see it.

Thanks for checking out this post, dont forget to comment! :)

Kpop Makeup

Hey guys! how have you guys been doing? i hope you all had wonderful new year!

Well, lately im so into a kpop makeup inspired. My inspiration mostly from
Sistar, Miss A, Girls Generation and 2NE1. I love their music, their style, their dances, i think it's just perfection.

Tiffany from SNSD (Girls Generation)

Suzi from Miss A

Bora from Sistar

Something about all these makeup looks that i think look very natural, chic, edgy and not overdone. So i have copied alot this look and this is my version :

What im wearing on :
- Covergirl Outlast Stay Fabulous in natural beige
- Revlon Colorstay Aqua Loose Powder in Translucent Medium
- NYC Bronzing Face Powder in Sunny
- Milani Baked Blush in Dolce Pink
-L'Oreal Voluminous Carbon Black Mascara in Carbon Black
- L'Oreal Voluminous Eyeliner
- L'Oreal Color Rich Lipstick in Fairest Nude
- NYX Butter Gloss in Creme Brulee
- Wet n Wild Lipstick in 5118 (applied only on the very inner of my lips)

The key of this makeup look  is an intense winged black eyeliner, and ombre lips where the nude shade covers the outer lips and dark pink covers the very inner of the lips. I definitely loving this kpop makeup look. The only thing i forgot to put my fake lashes on!

Do you guys like Kpop makeup look? Which Kpop makeup have u been into?

My 5 Fave Drugstore Lipsticks ( Fall Edition )

Nude lipsticks have been my fave to wear these past few weeks. Especially the ones with pink based. It brings little edge and somewhat feminine to it. And i think it goes with any makeup look. I normally wear smokey eyes / neutral make up on my daily basis. My picks for 5 faves drugstore lipstick in this fall season :

Left to Right :
Maybelline Color Whisper - "Oh La Lilac"
L'Oreal Colour Riche - "Fairest Nude"
L'Oreal Colour Riche - "Tickled Pink"
Maybelline Super Stay 14 Hr Lipstick - "Beige Forgood"
Wet n Wild - "511B"

Don't they just look so beautiful? They do!
  • "Oh La Lilac" : One of my go to lipstick. Goes really sheer yet gives it true color. It has slight purple tone to its shade. It last for couple hours until you have meal.

  • "Nude Fairest" : I would say this is the nudest shade you can ever get. I mean it. It's creamy and gives matte finish. You might disliking the strong scent that on it. I never wear this lipstick alone because the nudest pigment it gives, so i always layer it up with light pink lipgloss. For this post purpose, i wore this lipstick alone.

  • "Pink Tickled" : After application, you may find it looking like very frosty pink. And sometimes showing off more the dryness of my lips, so i always make sure i wear really good lip balm underneath. However, i love the finish look it gives on my lips. Very chic and girlie.

  • "Beige Forgood" : Definitely 100% matte lipstick. I'll never forget the very pleasant strong scent it has. It smells like fruity and doesnt bother me at all. I describe the shade as dark warm nude and when you swipe it, it's like a magic marker for your lips. And i think this one close similar to "Fairest Nude" in deeper shade version.  Pigmentation totally great but doesn't really moisturizing your lip though. Clear lipgloss over the top would be a great match altogether.

  • "511B" - This one isn't a nude lipstick like the most of i've mentioned above, but this one is my fave too during fall especially for the night out. The shade is very hot pink reminds me of barbie lips. This lipstick gives stain to your lips. It's creamy and gives slight glossy finish. And you can't beat the price for this 99cent lipstick or even less than that! I cant remember :/

Have any of these lippies been your fave lately? Let me know!

Recent Fall Outfits & Make Up Look

Fall season has finally here. What happened to summer that just been here? I have mixed up feeling for this transisition season, i love both of them but i wish summer could have been longer. Now is sweather weather and rocking my boots. There are some days when the weather still heating up to 80F but not so often anymore. Rencently it's been around 60F.

My fave bottom to wear is legging or tights. They do look good together with boots.

With legging, i love to wear it with simple top and layer it up with "long sleeve sweather"which i really love and i got it from a thrift store for really good price. It's kind of like "crop top" style in long sleeve version.

With my tights, i worn it with  wool dress that i got from my sister long time ago. The dress is somewhat longer than i expected so i put the belt on to pull it up and make it look shorter. I find that my short profile body doesnt look good with longer dress that reach to my knee length.

You know that i cant go anywhere without my purse. Lately i worn my leopard purse alot that i got from Boscovs for $20, yes what a steal! The pattern is so bold enough to balance out the outfit. And my boots is from TjMaxx and the color match well with the purse.

Onto the makeup, just light smoky eye make up with nude lipstick that has pink base to it for daily basis. Mostly my everyday makeup look like this.

What do you guys think? Which outfit do you like more? :)

Mississippi Road Trip - August 2013

This is a pleasure for me to share my road trip to Mississippi yet a a special reunited meeting with my big sister who i had not meet for over past 5 years. Yep 5 years. I was still in Indonesia for the 3 years ever since she left for US and then on 2011 i arrived on the land of USA at John Kennedy International Airport NY to meet the love of my life and share the lifetime with him through marriage.

Anyway onto the trip.. The vacation trip was planned to visit Canada to see Niagara Falls. And then for some reason we changed the plan and decided to go to Mississippi instead where my sister lives. The road trip took 18 hours driving. I couldnt believe we made it total 36 hours back and forth. That ammount of trip do not include stops, rests, etc. Gosh that trip exhausted me so much and of course my hubby the driver got alot more exhausted than i did.

I love Mississippi weather and places were beautiful. It was sunny everyday well actually it was rain couple times. We had great times there. We visited the ocean, explored the town and I've got to tried my first Korean dishes and i love it.

Not only that, we visited a zoo at Hattiesburg MS. I never been a fan going to zoo but that time we searched for some attraction places to visit and zoo was came up on the 1st list. I was like hey lets go to zoo tomorrow. And we did and it was so beautiful zoo. We enjoyed it.

We had a great time afterall. Just ammount of time we had to spend on the road was kinda killing me. But we had stops quite times for each state we went through and that helped. :) But myself prefer travelling by airplane. What about u? Do you prefer travelling by airplane or roadtrip?  See you guys :)

Hair care routine and some tips!

Every girl in this planet should always taking good care of their hair. Hair brings big impact to how you look. Good hair makes you look better too ;)

So today im going to share my hair care routine. This has been working well for 6 months and my hair keep maintained healthy.

Before i start, may i tell you a few important tips to get your hair really healthy?
  • Avoid washing your hair everyday. Every other day is good but the longer you survive without washing it is better, 1 - 2 times a week is highly recommended! Washing your hair is tend to dry out your scalp, so if you wash it everyday, then you dont allow your scalp to producing its natural oil which is what your hair needs : some moisturize.
  • Wash your hair with lukewarm to cold water. No hot water! Hot water makes your hair dry, breakage, dull, etc. And on other hand, cold water gives your hair shine and very refreshing your scalp. When you condition you hair and it comes to rinse it, cold water is the best to do it because it will lock the moisture into your hair.
  • Don't use your hot tools really often. I know there are bunch of thermal protection in the market now, but that doesnt mean you not going to have split ends, it only help to prevent them. If you want your hair straight, after you shampoo your hair, wait until it's 50% dry, apply hair serum and brush your hair with wide tooth comb then just constantly brush them through with your finger until it almost dry. It wont be as straight as flat iron will do, but it will get little straight. And if you want your hair curl, simply section your hair into 3 , twist each of them into bun and secure it with bobby pins or with hair tie. Sleep with it and release your bun in the morning and you will have curl hair.
  • Don't brush your hair when it's 100% wet, the elasticity your hair when is wet is low which the brush will cause breakage very easy.  When it's dry the ability of your hair to be strecthed is pretty good.
  • Surely, drink alot of water, it's very good for hair, skin and your body!
Alright into the hair care items now..
My Shampoos & Condioner :

  • Rusk Sensories Cure Shampoo "Green Apple and Tea Tree Oil" (Anti Dandruff Shampoo) - i have a yuck dandruff scalp :(
  • Neutrogena Shampoo Anti Residue formula - if you use alot of hairstyling products like mousse, gel, bunch of hairspray like I DO , it is good to wash your hair with a clarifying shampoo like this one. It removes all build up.
  • Organix Renewing Moroccan Argan Oil Conditioner.
And follow with :
  • It's a 10 Miracle Leave-in Product - spray it to my damp hair and brush it with wide tooth comb. I usually use this if im going to use hot tool because this stuff has thermal protection.
And if i won't use any hot tool i use :

  • Organix Renewing Moroccan Argan Oil "Extra Penetrating Oil" for dry and coarse hair - i have thick coarse hair and this gives my hair smooth feeling to it.
Other treatment essentials :
  • It's a 10 miracle hair mask - i leave this on my hair after shampoo during shower for about 15 mins. Then rinse off with cold water.
  • Baby powder - i dont know if this one considered as "treatment" for hair but my hair tend to have some unpleasant odor on my 3rd day hair. So i use baby powder and apply it to my scalp, it absorbs excess oil and somehow get rid of the odor. Brush it through really well, because your hair will look gray (if you have black hair) after baby powder on them.
So what do you think? And do you have some good recommended shampoo for dandruff scalp? Let me know in the comment below :)
