Happy Valentines Readers!

Happy Valentines!
Hubby and I had wonderful Valentine Day. I cant thankful enough that he has day off today so we can celebrate this full of love day. This morning i woke up to the sweet roses and card from hubby. What a great thing to start the day off!

It's so beautiful, i love to had given flowers and who doesn't?

Then we went to have special lunch at Red Lobster since we both are big fan of seafoods! The restaurant was full typically on seasonal holiday. We were waiting about 15 mins which wasnt bad at all. Then we were seated and this is what we ordered :

Oh-em-gee! It was heaven yumminess appetizer! It's mozarella sticks, fried calamari, and fried broccoli.  I havent had mozarella sticks in ages ever since i am more focusing into my new clean eats routine. But for today, all these fried foods are worth to satisfy my soul! It was delish!

And then the next meal came :

The Ceasar Salad. It's my fave salad! Well i regularly avoid ceasar dressing but today again is an exception! I love the cheese strips! mmmmmm. And at this point, my tummy starts getting filled satisfied.

Then the main dishes!

Hubby's choice : Lobster & Shrimp Linguini Alfredo
It looks freaking good, doesnt it? Of course i took a taste of it and it was goood.

My choice : Seaport Lobster and Shrimp
I was amazed of how this look. My plate contains Garlic Shrimp Scampi, Wood Grilled Lobster & Shrimp served with rice pilaf and fries! Since my tummy was quite filled heavily before this meal came, i kind just taste my plate foodies here and there. Everything was good! And i had the rest of my plate to the on the go box and had them for dinner, and same as hubby's meal.

The OOTD :

It looked like candid camera shots. I wasnt prepared but i wanna share you anyway! Too bad i didnt get a chance to take photos together with hubby. The place was really full of people today.

Happy Valentines everyone! Hope you have wonderful day with the loved ones! :)

Review & Swatches : Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette

Hello girls.

I have been holding on for this post for a quite long time. I just get drawn too much of fun enjoying the palette and created looks. If you wanna checking out couple makeup looks i created with this palette, just click here and here .

They claim (source taken from here) :

What it is:
A mirrored compact packed with a dozen never-before-seen rose-hued neutrals, plus a double-ended brush and an Eyeshadow Primer Potion sampler.

What it does:
Dare to get Naked all over again with Urban Decay’s latest shadow palette. Naked3 debuts 12 insanely beautiful rose-hued neutrals in an impressive range of shades—from pale, shimmery pink to deep black matte with red microglitter—in ultrasmooth matte, pearl, and glimmering metallic finishes. Each shadow features Urban Decay’s Pigment Infusion System™, the proprietary blend of ingredients that gives every shade its velvety texture, rich color, serious staying power, and blendability.

Packaging : It's quite sturdy, and very identical to the naked 2 palette which i am disappoint of because i would expect more different than naked 2. But the packaging look itself is definitely describing of all the shades in the palette all about. It is pinkish, romantic, and "girliesh" if that is even a word.

And then you got 4 samples of their eyeshadow primer potion which are original, eden, sin and anti-aging. I never used them yet. They also provide double ended brush in the packaging.

The swatches :

Left to Right : Strange, Dust, Burnout, Limit, Buzz, Trick, Nooner, Liar, Factory, Mugshot, Darkside, Blackheart.

Description of shades :

  • Strange (pale neutral pink matte-satin)
  • Dust (pale metallic pink shimmer w/iridescent micro-glitter)
  • Burnout (light pinky-peach satin)
  • Limit (light dusty rose matte)
  • Buzz (metallic rose shimmer w/silver microglitter)
  • Trick (light metallic pinky-copper shimmer w/tonal microsparkle)
  • Nooner (medium pinky-brown matte)
  • Liar (medium metallic mauve shimmer)
  • Factory (pinky-brown satin)
  • Mugshot (metallic taupe shimmer w/slight pink shift)
  • Darkside (deep taupe-mauve satin)
  • Blackheart (smoky black matte w/rosy red microsparkle)

Swatches (close up) :

Price : $52

Where to buy : Ulta, Sephora, Urban Decay Shop

What I think about this palette :

The pigmentation is highly greatly made. The texture and formulation feels so buttery smooth  and some shades feels slight chalky and fallout when i swatched them.  I find they are very long lasting and doesnt crease on my oily eyelid. So far amongst nakeds i own, naked 3 is my most faves based of ranges of colors. They are very wearable for daily basis, from romantic looks, neutral looks, smokey looks, you really can do alot with this palette. I am so in love with this palette. If i were to choose which shade is my fave definitely would be "Buzz". It's so very beautiful rose shimmer color.

I think this palette is very good to travel with since the packaging quite sturdy, i dont have to worry alot if something would happen. And the ranges of shade is quite good too because they provide combos of mattes and shimmer pretty well. And the double ended brush is quite useful for the application except i think you might wanna bring your blending brush along.

Do i think it's worth the money? Yes i do  because i think i could never go wrong using any shades from this palette together or even just an single shade itself. Like i said, they are very neutral warm shades with touch of rosey colors which appropriate for daily basis from day to night makeup.

I dont regret buying this palette!!

Pros :
  • Highly pigmented
  • Great colors range
  • Suitable for daily use
  • Worth the money
  • Sturdy Packaging
  • Looks stunning on the eyelid
  • Easy to work with / easy to blend
  • Great combos of matte and shimmer
  • Long lasting
  • Doesnt creasing
Cons :
  • Some shades are chalky/powdery so i experience some fallout
  • Packaging is very identical to the naked 2. I wish it could be more different.
What do you guys think? Have you tried naked3? Do u loving it?

FOTD : Quick No Makeup Makeup

Hello guys.

Hattiesburg has been so chilly these past few weeks. We got 15 minutes snow in the afternoon and luckily the snow has melted right away within an hour!

Well today i have a very simple FOTD, my "Quick No Makeup Makeup" , perfect for lazy days when you need to do some errands. It took me around 10 mins to do this look.

There are few things i cant leave my house without :
1. My eyebrow has to be done!
2. Mascara has to be on. It does multitasker jobs. Once, mascara makes my eye look bigger and second,  mascara gives me the look which it look like i applied eyeliner on.
3. BB Cream or Concealer

But there is an exception when i go workout, i completely leaving my house with my bare face though! But if im in the mood to looking better at the gym, this look has to be it.

Products Used :

1. Garnier BB Cream (For Combination to Oily Skin ) in Medium / Deep. Click here for the product review.
2. Wet n Wild Eyeshadow Palette in Vanity - i only used the first matte white shadow on top to highlight the bride of my nose and all over my eyelid.
3. Revlon Colorstay Aqua Loose Powder in Translucent Medium.
4. NYC Blush "Pink Cheek Glow"
5. L'Oreal Voluminous Carbon Black Mascara.
6. L'Oreal Voluminous Smoldering Eyeliner Pencil - lining upper waterline.

Review : Current HG "Garnier BB Cream Skin Renew Miracle Skin Perfector " ( For combo + Oily skin)

Hello guys.

I am so excited to share this post with you today. Because im going to reviewing BB Cream from Garnier that i have been so loving these past 2 months.

They claim : (the source is taken from here)
Garnier Skin Renew Miracle Skin Perfector BB Cream for Combination to Oily Skin immediately mattifies, minimizes pores, and conceals imperfections to give skin a naturally smooth, flawless finish. Save time with just one multi-benefit product that combines advanced skincare and immediate skin perfecting coverage in a non-greasy oil-free formula. Garnier Skin Renew Miracle Skin Perfector BB Cream is dermatologist tested for safety, non-comedogenic (won't clog pores), non-acnegenic (won't cause breakouts), and gentle to skin.

Combines oil-absorbing mineral perlite, natural tint and a touch of hydration
Controls shine, minimizes pores, evens, hydrates and protects
Broad spectrum SPF 20 sunscreen
The BB Garnier Skin Renew Miracle Skin Perfector comes with 3 versions formulation where each of them specifically targetting your skin type needs. They are available for anti aging, normal to dry skin, and combination to oily skin. I picked mine the combination to oily skin based on my oily skin typed.

For Anti Aging version one, they come with 2 shades, which are light/medium and medium/deep. For Normal to Dry Skin version , they come with 3 shades, which are fair/light , light/medium, and medium/deep. And the last version, Combination to Oily skin, they come with 3 shades also, which are light/medium, medium/deep, deep/dark. And my shade is in medium/deep.

Packaging : i dont mind the tube squeeze packaging type. The size of the packaging is somehow reminds me of the most hand lotion tube. And i think they give you quite alot of product inside it. You got alot gals! But considering the formula is very watery which easy to spill, i personally would prefer this bb cream with pump bottle packaging.

Formula : very watery. I always been careful when i squeeze the tube because its watery consistency could spill everywhere very easily.

Coverage : i would say the coverage from medium to full. You can see in the picture below, it covers my imperfections really well and kind give me slightly dewy finish! Left picture indicates my bare face and right picture indicate my face with bb cream on.

Application : I usually using stippling brush, sometimes fat brush with very flat top. I dont know what the name of the brush but i hope you know what im talking about. And a little goes a long way!

Oil Control : I still have to blot my face once after 3 to 4 hours and my face doesnt get oily that much either which i think it's not bad considering i have super duper oily skin. Usually my face has to be blotted every 30 mins to one hour for random bb cream/foundation that doesnt fit to my skin type.

Lasting Power : i think it does last very quite long hours. The makeup stay still on my face.

Freshly makeup done :

And after around 3 - 4 hours (after one time blotting with oil control paper and without touch up)  :

Can you guys tell this bb stays on awesomely? I think it does! I loveee it.

Pros :
1. Available at drugstore
2. Affordable
3. Lightweight on skin
4. Good coverage
5. Even out skin tone really well
6. Long lasting
7. Oil control is pretty good
8. Comes in quite ammount of product
9. Doesn't break my skin out
10. Not only covers your impperfections, this bb cream also protects your skin from harmful excess sun.

Cons :
1. Small range of shades
2. Can be messy when you squeeze the tube out because the formula is very watery

Price : $10.79 - $11.99 at Target.

Repurchase : Definitely!

Where to buy : any drugstore like Walmart, Target, RiteAid, Walgreens, etc

Overall, i do think this bb cream worth to purchase over and over and very suitable for daily use either for work or school when you dont have alot of time to prepping your makeup base on your makeup routine.

And what do you think? Do you have good experience with this bb cream from Garnier? Let me know :)
